Low vision aids

Low vision is the condition which cannot be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, surgery or drugs. Age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and cataract cause low vision.

People with low vision often have difficulty reading, writing, watching television, recognizing people's faces or carrying out their daily activities. Low vision aids use magnification to enhance vision and facilitate daily activities thus offering a better quality of life. There are short and long distance low vision aids:
